Whether you need some classic mother-daughter bonding time, a party venue, or you just want to treat your little lady, Glama Gal Tween Spa offers a variety of classic spa services and workshops, dedicated to boosting confidence and self-esteem in young girls.

What started as a mobile party service for tweens is now a chain of full service spas for kids of all ages. In 2008, sisters Laura and Josie Cannone decided it was time to park their mobile spa party business and open the first ever stand-still Glama Gal Tween Spa in Vaughan, Ontario. It wasn’t long before it was franchised across Ontario, adding eight new locations to the map—one of which includes Sudbury.

Glama Gal offers a wide range of services, which closely resemble those you would find at a conventional adult spa but instead use all-natural ingredients in a kid-friendly atmosphere. They’ve got your little one’s spa experience covered, down to the plush robes, and “Pinktinies”—a deliciously fun mocktail served to the young patrons during parties.

Services can be booked as individual day spa sessions, as part of a party, or in specialty packages. Each offer their own different perks and can be tailored to suit a single patron, a couple friends, or a large group. The mix and match possibilities are impressive and they have something for everyone.

Glama Gal employs aestheticians, teachers, ECEs and social workers, or students in those fields, so you can rest assured your child is in knowledgeable and experienced hands. They also adhere to strict health and cleanliness practices by using hospital grade disinfectants and single use spa tools.

Some examples of services they offer include:

  • Dessert Manicures and Pedicures

  • Cucumber Mist Facials

  • Chocolate or Banana Facial Masks

  • Sugar Scrub Exfoliation

  • Massages

  • Glam Hairstyles and Makeup Applications

You can also count on Glama Gal to inspire creativity by offering activities in the Glam Lab. Children have to opportunity to create various products such as lip glosses, bubble baths, and body scrubs.

While majority of the services are advertised as pretty and pink, they’ve made sure no one feels left out by offering the Slimy Spa Experience. It includes the Ooey Gooey Super Slimy Mani & Pedi, a Mucky & Muddy Facial Mask, a “Totally Rad Tattoo,” and gummy worm treat. As part of this experience, kids will also be able to create their own Swamp Water Bubble Bath.

What makes Sudbury’s location so special is the addition of a Glama Star Music Video & Photo Kiosk. Guests can enter the open air Glam Star Kiosk and record their own music video, then have it delivered directly to their email inbox. Also unique to the Sudbury Glama Gal is the Le Petit Spa room, a mini adult spa oasis, located inside Glama Gal. This offers the perfect opportunity for party hosting parents to indulge while their child is pampered with her friends, or for more serious spa-goers that still want the bonding opportunity with their child but prefer adult treatments.

Pampering and partying aside, Glama Gal understands the importance of building confidence and self esteem within the young people that walk through their doors. They promote equality, friendship, and confidence from the moment you arrive. With inspiring staff, decor, and product packaging it’s hard not to feel the girl power. Glama Gal also offers various workshops and group programs, through the spa or at schools, to further their mission of inspiring young women to love themselves and each other.

Sudbury’s Glama Gal Tween Spa is located is the South End of the city near the 4 Corners and is the only spa of it’s kind in Northern Ontario. To book your spa day, workshop, or birthday party, you can visit their website at www.glamagalparty.com.
